How
Did Canadians At Home Respond To War?
Many of the Canadians that went serve for world was II had family and/or friends waiting for them at home. Many of these family and/or friends would worry sick about the men the have gone to serve in the war. Many of these people who were at home usually would go fine jobs so they don't have free time to think about their loved one and worry too much. There were lots of jobs that were vacant at the time because they were jobs that the men would do when they came back from world war one. Now that most of the men in town have gone to serve women would go and apply for these jobs. Most women go to get their minds off the war but some would go for the money. The money some families get from war was just not enough to run the family therefore some of these women would go work in factories and/or industries that manufactured weapons and machines for the war. There were some women that even went to war. Industries and factories still had some spare jobs even though women went to work so often children were asked to do some of these works as demand for war machines and weapons were high in demand.
